Adopted- Rocky- 1 1/2 year old Male Shiba Inu Mix

Rocky the 1 1/2 y old Shiba Mix has finally found his forever home with Vince! He has finished his heartworm treatment and will be getting neutered soon and so it is time to take applications. Rocky’s story is that he was left tied to a tree when his owners moved out. Neighbors fed him and then when the owners never returned they called us. He was HW positive and starving for affection and didn’t know how to act like a civil dog. He had been left tied to a tree. He ended up being placed with a super foster that is also a trainer. She has worked day and night socializing him and getting him ready for both his heartworm treatment and for his life in a loving forever home. Rocky is like a teenager always testing the waters but with a strong owner he will be the dog of your dreams. We have decided that because of his early lack of attention that it is better to home him in a home without other dogs. He wants all the attention and may show some not so nice behaviors if one isn’t keeping a super close eye on him around other dogs. He is house trained and he is also crate trained although he does not bother anything while out of his crate while left alone. Rocky also will be neutered before adoption. His vaccines are up to date and he will be heartworm negative. He walks well on a leash and the trainer has prepared him towards his CGC certification. She has also started him on some nose work.
