Adopted! Our beautiful Cassandra is finally ready to find a home of her own. She has been spayed and had all her vaccinations. Cassandra is one of the 6 Shiba that came from the puppy mill in Alabama. Her foster has been working with her getting her to feel comfortable in a home. For the first few weeks she hid in the closet where she felt safe. With patience as well as a few treats she was slowly coaxed out of her “Lair” every day to get used what a real home type situation is. From learning to walk on a leash and going outside to do her business her dog foster brother and sister have helped her “learn the ropes” Cassandra would do best in a home with at least 1 other dog. We do not feel young children would be good at this time as she still needs to learn that all things in the big world out there are not bad. Cassandra is a total sweetheart she just needs someone that will have patience with her. We feel also that someone in the Tampa area would be the best so she can meet you multiple times before the move. She is located in Tampa and would love to meet you! (On her terms of course). I was wondering how long you think she’d be available? I am looking to adopt a dog in a few months time but I currently am unable to. I don’t want to put a hold on her in case she isn’t the one. I’ve been doing some research on the breed and I understand they aren’t people pleasers. This dog seems like a great addition to our house, as she needs other dogs in the home and we have them. I also am interested in her because I’ve been told Shiba Inu are prone to SSA, Same Sex Aggression and we have two male *neutered* dogs at home, which wouldn’t cause an issue since they are of the opposite sex of her.
How do meet ups work? When will one be available? I’d like to meet multiple times before making anything official. That is when the time comes- as I am unable to meet at this moment. I am simply searching for open options.

around the corner with our 7 year old Jindo (Kiki) – Prior to Kiki we had
