Captain is a commanding presence, an energetic 3-year-old, 42-pound neutered male with a strong prey drive. His current owners from Seminole are seeking a new home for him as they lack the time and expertise to provide the necessary training while caring for their infant. Captain is house trained but not crate trained. His high prey drive necessitates additional training on the leash. He is not recommended for homes with other pets or young children. Captain would thrive under the care of a highly experienced handler who can patiently and supportively guide him in setting appropriate boundaries. His vivacious spirit should be directed, not suppressed, allowing him to safely enjoy his energy. The ideal home for Captain is with someone who has extensive dog experience and leads an active lifestyle. Only those who meet Captain’s specific requirements will be considered.
